Mount Everest (The Highest Mountain in the World)


Nepal is a small, independent, beautiful, and mountainous country, situated in the continent of Asia between the People’s Republic of China and India. It covers an area of 147,181 Square kilometers with the population of about 25 million.

Eight out of the ten highest mountains in the world are situated in Nepal; including the Mount Everest which is 8848 meters above the sea level is the highest point on earth. 


Large numbers of tourists visit Nepal to go climbing and trekking the Himalayas to see and experience the natural beauty and religious, historical culture of Nepal. Nepal has a monsoon climate. The temperature varies from 0OC to 45OC and rainfall 100cm to 350cm. 

Being a mountainous country there are many fast flowing rivers and streams and Nepal has the second largest potentiality of hydropower in the world.

Tourism is one of the main sources of income of Nepal, where the facility of jungle safari, rafting, trekking and sight seeing is abundantly available for the tourists

About 80% of the population live in remote rural villages and farming is their main source of income. Due to unemployment in the country, the Nepalese government has granted approval to foreign employment maintaining due process through the concerned agencies or organization to provide necessary manpower to the foreign country. 

Nepalese young men are recruited into the British army and Indian army, have earned good reputation by their honesty, discipline and bravery and are famous as Gurkhas of Nepal
